In a market full of defense holsters, the MTR Fab Defense Thigh Rig Scorpus Holster is a step above the rest.
The design of this holster rig is very interesting in itself. It takes the already amazing Scorpus Holster and takes it to the next level. They’ve made it able to accept a number of Scorpus Holsters on the market, which we will get to very soon, so you are not just stuck to one gun for this thigh rig. They designed the thigh rig to let the user decide if they would rather have a 2 point attachment, or a single point attachment, instead of having them locked down to one choice. I have tried both, and for the comfort, security, and agility, my pick was the 2 point belt attachments! The straps that rap around the leg are designed for not only the user comfort in mind, but for stability and agility and for actual use. Many other thigh rigs do not add any additional thought to the “over done” design of the straps, but this one begs to differ. The straps are easily adjusted and can snap in and off if you need to attach or detach it quickly. The straps themselves are lined with a rubber type of material that snag to your clothing and keep a firm, yet comfortable, grip on your legs.
The esthetics of this holster add to the overall design of this holster also. It provides excellent handgun protection in a slim and streamlined design. The Scorpus Level 2 Retention System truly secures the hand gun. I have and reviewed a series of locking holsters such as the Blackhawk CQC holsters, and this one gives a better feel of security then any of them I’ve ever tried. The special finger channel design helps the index finger safely positioned during draw and not in line with the trigger as seen with the Blackhawk CQC holsters. The holster also features a secure 20 degree Cant adjustment option for both belt adapters so you can get the perfect draw every time.
