Let’s proceed to its description, and as a pleasant surprise, compare it with a direct competitor – a very popular holographic sight from the American company Eotech – XPS2-2.
Traditionally, we begin with the purpose of this holographic sight:
The holographic sight is a kind of collimator sight in which the image of the mark is reproduced in space by laser beam, hence the main advantage of such sights from conventional collimators is that the sight mark is not visible from the target side. This mark allows to perform intuitively fast search and target acquisition, has a ballistic correction in the shape of a triangle in the lower part, allowing to hit targets at a distance of 300 meters without making corrections. The central point has a size of 1MOA at 100 yards, which is ideal for accurately hitting the target at a given distance. The 88MOA central circle allows you to find and rapidly hit moving and suddenly appearing targets at a distance up to 100 yards.
The mark has 15 brightness levels. The sight is compatible with night vision devices, it’s possible by using the backlight at the minimum level.
SIGHT MOUNTING:

The sight mounting system is compatible with all kinds of rails such as Weaver and Picatinny. Quick-detachable mechanism integrated on one locking lever. There is a fixing screw on the right side of the sight. The process of installing the sight is simple and consists in the following:
1. Push the stopper button and bend the locking lever to yourself.
2. Then set the sight on the weapon’s rail.

The Vortex AMG-UH1 mark has a unique shape that incorporates the latest scientific achievements in the field of optical sights, the main difference of this brand from the Eotech sight is the intuitive capture and tracking of the target, especially at distances above 100 meters. In the Eotech sight – mark is simpler, having a ballistic correction in the shape of a point, which somewhat slows down the aiming process. In addition, the Vortex sight mark with the same brightness values is more accurate than the Eotech sightmark, this is clearly seen in the photos below.
